Checking out what's new at the bakery is one of the exciting benefits of being a Costco member, and lately this area of the warehouse has been changing things up.
The latest fresh bakery release has been the return of a beloved summer classic. New products have been appearing left and right.
Just in time for the Fourth of July BBQ party, the Key Lime Pie has returned. One of the first people to notice the item reappear on June 21 was Instagram user @CostcoContessa.
Key lime pie from Costco weights more than 4 pounds and comes with 16 pre-cut portions. This massive pie costs only $15.99 and comes with a butter graham crust and whipped cream on top.
Along with bringing the Key Lime Pie back, Costco's bakery has been busy this month adding new products to the shelves.
On June 14, a new cheesecake, this one a Chocolate Cheesecake, was introduced, and since then, 4.5 pounds of it had been devoured by chocoholics. The cost of the entire cake is just $19.99.
The Costco bakery has started producing "small" versions of some of the members' favourite cakes, like Raspberry Mini Cakes, in addition to the enormous treats like Key Lime Pie and Chocolate Cheesecake.
While introducing a plethora of new sweets to "wow" members has been one part, in early June, the price of the Kirkland Signature Croissant Pack and the Kirkland Signature Muffins was increased by $1 and 20 percent, respectively.
According to an earnings call by Senior Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations Bob Nelson, the price increase has affected several Costco products owing to inflation.
